Grading
Grade calculation
The final grade on the course is calculated as follows:
Grade | A | B | C | D | E |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Score | 5 | 4 | 3 | 2 | 1 |
Final score = (Score_A1 + Score_A2 + Score_A3 + Score_A4 + 3.5 * Score_Project) / 7.5
The final score is rounded to the nearest integer and translated into a grade using the table above.
Example
If you receive the following grades:
A1: C, A2: A, A3: B, A4: A, Project: B
Your final grade is:
(3 + 5 + 4 + 5 + 3.5 * 4) / 7.5 = 31 / 7.5 = 4.13 ≈ 4 → B
If you would have received an A instead of a B on the project, your final grade is:
(3 + 5 + 4 + 5 + 3.5 * 5) / 7.5 = 34.5 / 7.5 = 4.6 ≈ 5 → A
Note that you must have received a pass grade (E or above) on all four assignments and the project to pass the course.
