Opposition

As an opponent, you shall give constructive feedback and comments on another student’s degree project, and ask questions about things that are unclear or that you don’t understand. The following list can be used as a guideline when preparing your opposition:

  • Is the problem clearly described?

  • Is the problem motivated from a scientific, societal or business perspective?

  • Is relevant related related work referenced to?

  • Is the methodology well explained and motivated?

  • Is the data clearly presented and understandable?

  • Are the conclusions drawn backed up by the results?

  • Are all objectives met?

  • Is the report well written and have a good structure and language usage?

    You are also required to hand in a written copy of your opposition (1-2 pages) directly after the presentations. Please send as DM in Slack or email to the students whose work you reviewed, and to the examiner for their thesis.
