Refero guide

During your time at university you will write texts where you should demonstrate your knowledge within your field of study and where you should show that you have mastered academic writing. This method of writing is adapted to building an argument which supports your own research results. In the argumentation it is important to integrate other people’s research in your own line of argument. Scientific work always builds on work done by earlier researchers.

If you do not refer to other research properly you risk plagiarizing. Because of this it is important that you learn how you can use other people’s texts and how you should refer to those by adding references.

Refero is a web based tutorial which shows you how to implement other people’s texts in your writing and how to avoid plagiarism. The tutorial contains 18 pages and takes about 30 minutes to go through.
