The final grade on the course is calculated as follows:
Final score = (Score_A1 + Score_A2 + Score_A3 + Score_A4 + 3.5 * Score_Project) / 7.5
The final score is rounded to nearest integer and translated into a grade using the table above.
If you receive the following grades:
A1: C, A2: A, A3: B, A4: A, Project: B
Your final grade is:
(3 + 5 + 4 + 5 + 3.5 * 4) / 7.5 = 31 / 7.5 = 4.13 ≈ 4 → B
If you would have received an A instead of a B on the project, your final grade is:
(3 + 5 + 4 + 5 + 3.5 * 5) / 7.5 = 34.5 / 7.5 = 4.6 ≈ 5 → A
Note that you must have received a pass grade (E or above) on all four assignments and the project to pass the course.
If you receive a grade lower than A on assignments or the project, you can improve the assignments or project and present on a later examination. Improvements must be made no later than the resubmission date (see the Deadlines and Submissions page). It is totally up to you to decide what grade you aim for!
